Schedule 5.1 of the 2012 Simcoe Official Plan designates the entire lower-tier municipalities of Collingwood, Midland, Penetanguishene, and Wasaga Beach as settlement areas.

4. Economic Employment Districts (areas associated with Growth Plan Amendment no. 1 - Simcoe Area: A Strategic Vision for Growth, Places to Grow, June 2009) were mapped as Strategic Employment Areas, not settlement areas.

5. Fennell's Corners (indicated as deferred on the Innisfil official plan, is not identified as a settlement area on the Simcoe OP) and, therefore was not mapped as a settlement area.

6. Egbert and Orr Lake were not mapped as settlement area, because their boundaries are not identified on any official plan.

Pennville and an Unnamed Settlement in the Township of New Tecumseh were not identified on the Simcoe Official Plan as settlement areas.

7. A portion of Briar Hill was incorporated into the Alliston settlement area.
